Wayne Acourt qualified in Interior Design
at Kingston University in 1979. He then worked for a number
of commercial architectural practices, gaining experience
in projects ranging in size from Heathrow's Terminal 3 refurbishment
and new build work in the City of London, to Listed Building
refurbishment work in Richmond.
Switching to design practices that
focussed on end-user fit-outs in 1987, Wayne learnt the value
and professional reward of dealing with demanding clients
on repeat projects.
After five years working in his own
practice Wayne was approached to head up the Bristol design
studio of a large London practice. Management skills learnt
in that environment have been valuable additions to the design
skills learnt over the previous 20 years.
Wayne has had the benefit and experience
for working with some large household names in the commercial
world, and has enjoyed working on projects ranging in variety
and value. But for Wayne the real 'buzz' comes from the opportunity
to create something different and to exceed the Client's expectations
whatever the size of project.
